Nurse was given a notice of intent to deny her license because she previously plead guilty to theft of over $121,000.00 while working as a home health nurse in Ohio. The State of Ohio previously suspended her license for the conviction and the subsequently placed her on permanent restrictions or a lifetime probation.

In this matter our client failed to show up to her Illinois hearing and after filing a motion to reconsider the denial of her license we were able to get a conference with the nursing board.  At first the board was reluctant based on the Felony Plea and its surrounding circumstances however we presented mitigation that wasn’t presented in Ohio.  The Nursing Board granted our client a license on a one year probation.
